In May we have passed an important milestone: more than 100 Five Star Reviews on AirBnB. Our average on AirBnB across all experiences is a fantastic 4.91. Also on Tripadvisor (Viator) we are currently listed with a 5.0 (37 reviews). Here are some highlights of what our guests have to say about our experiences in Barcelona.

Gaudí & Barcelona Legends – Immersing into architecture, history & legends

Janet from New Jersey, USA, rated Gaudí & Barcelona Legends: “If I could rate this experience as more than 5 stars, I would. The primary reason we came to Barcelona was to see the work of Antoni Gaudi firsthand. Chris was able to do with his descriptive words what Gaudi did in the transformation of inorganic material into life and legend.”

Barcelona Off The Beaten Track

Anna from Geseke, Germany, said about Explore hidden streets with a friend: “Our first day in Barcelona was an unforgettable experience thanks to Christian. Away from the crowded tourist spots we could learn all sorts of history and culture of the Catalans. Christian has presented the perfect mix of political backgrounds – from the past as well as from the present – and great history and legends of the region. The whole trip was like a trip among friends, we laughed a lot! As a bonus, there were numerous tips for our further stay. We are happy to book another tour on our next vacation in Barcelona or Amsterdam!”

Barcelona Wine Tour: Try the local Champagne with fine chocolate

Tracy from Portland/Oregon in the United States wrote about our Exclusive Cava & Chocolate Experience: “I attended this trip with my two daughters (19 and 24). We all loved it so much! Learned extensively about the small-batch cava production, as well as the history of cava itself. The visit is in a town that produces 90% of the world’s cava; very historical and interesting. After we viewed the production and storage areas (as well as some historical artifacts), we had the opportunity to sit in the most beautiful, leafy courtyard and linger over cava tastings. Every cava was delicious. Christian and Michael had separated us into two groups, because so many people had signed up (they intentionally keep the groups small). We were just six people with Christian, and it was lovely to sit, chat, learn about each other while tasting. After tasting, we walked to a restaurant in town, where we were each able to select our own choices for 3 courses. The food was delicious, and this was a fun experience also – further talking about the region, food, and wine while feeling like we were at lunch with friends. After lunch, walked the chocolate factory, where we were able to view and observe the production of this family-owned operation, and then taste as much chocolate as we wanted. I learned the ‘correct’ was to enjoy premium chocolate – let it melt in your mouth instead of biting into it. The chocolate, and the staff, were top-notch. On the train ride back to town, I learned more about Christian, his background and extensive, adventurous travels around the world with Michael. He is super thoughtful, curious, well-informed, down-to-earth, and a wonderful conversationalist. When we all parted ways, he encouraged us to reach out if we had questions or wanted additional recommendations for our remaining days in Barcelona. I really did leave feeling that I had made a new friend. Although I generally always like to try ‘new’ experiences, I would definitely book this again.”

Feel Like Gaudí – Modernism Tour & Mosaic Workshop in Trencadís technique

Laura from Berkley, California, rated Feel Like Gaudí: Tour & Workshop as follows: “Christian gave us a phenomenal walking tour of Gaudi architecture, a feat that was even more exceptional given that we chose to do our tour on holiday in which the streets were overrun. He navigated multiple languages, insane pedestrian traffic, and heavy downpour with aplomb. He was able to adjust the tour to accommodate both the interests of grown-ups and children present, while taking the time to get to know each of us. Angelika was ill so we only met her briefly, but her staff took great care of us and guided us to making special mosaic memories of our time in Barcelona. This is a must for a great hands-on activity in Barcelona.”
