In January 2023 we are celebrating the fifth birthday of The Barcelona Feeling. We are delighted that during these past years we have truly become the Barcelona experts.
It all started with the idea to show travellers lesser known areas in the old town of Barcelona away from the crowds. We were and often still are surprised about that guests tend to stay in the same areas and streets of the Gothic Quarter whilst there is so much more to see. When family and friends visited we were naturally the tour guides for them. With the enthusiasm that we could spread among them we felt that it was time to turn our passion into profession. Thus, in 2018 we founded The Barcelona Feeling focussing on off-the-beaten-path experiences.
Over time we expanded our offerings. We created our architectural tour about Gaudí and Catalan Modernism and after having met Angelika from Mosaiccos we added a unique twist to the experience: create your own Gaudí mosaic as a souvenir to take home.
Having met Ramon Giro I Giro, owner of a family run cava maker, the idea came up to collaborate. The idea of our “Intimate Champagne and Chocolate Experience” was born. Discover Cava, how it is produced and do an extensive tasting! You will notice that it is as good as French Champagne. On the same day we will visit a chocolate maker with a 180 years tradition.
Our latest addition was our Food and History Tour that perfectly combines a culinary aspect with the discovery of the most beautiful back alleys of the historic center of Barcelona. While strolling through the old town we make three food stops at distinct restaurants so that our guests get an introduction into the broad range of Spanish tapas.
In 2023 we are planning to launch our first Sitges experience – another trip out of town to discover the beautiful story of that sea side town.
After 5 years in business we feel that we have become true Barcelona experts – and we are still broadening our horizons. There is so much more to learn about history, local traditions and architecture. We love to discover more iconic Barcelona buildings and stay up-to-date with local developments.

This was a highlight of our Barcelona adventure. Christian’s storytelling is fantastic. The walking is geared to the group. The small group made it more like hanging out with friends vs following an umbrella type tour. The stories and sights made it so even my teen was not bored. So many great memories.
