We are happy that we have been succesfully partnering with Mosaiccos for three years now. Our joint experiences have received fantastic feedback in the past years and we are looking forward to continue delivering high quality experiences to our guests once the pandemic is over and travelling will have normalised again.

In 2018 Angelika and Christian met during an event hosted by AirBnB for their experience hosts. It was the moment when the idea came up to develop and co-host an exciting experience together. After some brainstorming sessions the concept for “Feel Like Gaudí – Modernism Tour & Workshop” was created, tried and tested with friends and family. The feedback was fantastic so we launched this experience just before Christmas of that year. In the meantime a deep friendship between Angelika, Michael and Christian has developed and our guests value highly this experience:

“This was a great recommendation from Airbnb! We would also do more tours with Christian! And the mosaic workshop was a lot of fun – a great experience. So: Anytime again!!!”

(Martina, Germany)

“Feel Like Gaudí – Modernism Tour & Workshop” combines a two-hours walking tour with a one hour hands-on workshop. The focus lies on modernism as an art movement focussing on Gaudí´s works along the Passeig de Gracia such as Casa Milà and Casa Batlló. However, it includes also grand buildings of other architects of that era, such as the Palau de la Música, the concert hall. The enthusiastic tour guides also make the connection to important history and legends of Barcelona and the region of Catalunya that is reflected in the beautiful architecture. Finally, the walk ends at the workshop of Angelika in the middle of the historic center of the city. Here our guests will create their own souvenir in Gaudí-style that they can take with them immediately.

About Mosaiccos

Angelika Heinbach is running Mosaiccos with her workshop in the picturesque neighbourhood of El Born. She has been living in Spain for 27 years and specialized in enhancing creativity and communication as well as promoting the cultural tradition of millennial mosaic art and the “Trencadis” technique. While she was still a child, her mother, Martha, sparked her passion for arts. “When I came to Barcelona, I was impressed by the works of Miró, Dalí, Picasso, and especially the genius of Antonio Gaudí.”

Today, with her studio MOSAICCOS, a long-standing dream has come true and she is excited about what she is doing: With Team Building and events like “Experiencia Gaudí” she combines arts with company and group objectives.

Moreover, in her special mosaic classes, she teaches children and adults to unleash their creativity and create artworks of their own which can be used to decorate their homes or as a present for their loved ones. She also creates and sell all kinds of decorative mosaic artworks and accepts commissions.

In 2016 the Catalan President rewarded her with a master craftsman certificate for her skills and being an ambassador of Catalan traditions.

About The Barcelona Feeling

Michael Meyer and Christian Heide are the founders of The Barcelona Feeling: “We left Germany 20 years ago and have been living in Barcelona for more than 10 years. We are experienced world travellers having visited more than 40 countries on all continents. When coming to Barcelona we developed a passion for its architecture, the rich history and the many legends that can be found all over the city. Turning passion into a profession we became tour guides and founded The Barcelona Feeling, specialising in small private groups, off the beaten path tours and historic walking routes.” Over time our portfolio has expanded into culinary experiences and architectural, cultural and art walks. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic the online experience “Zoom Around Panoramic Barcelona” has become a great success.
